Some small but mostly BIG sailyachts race around the Island and party into the new year afterwards. This December is the 16th yearly regatta. Pictures are HERE December 24, 2010 Giga Yacht Eclipse sails into Philipsburg Harbour St.Maarten for the first time. Constructed by Blohm + Voss in Hamburg, Germany. Exterior and interior design by Terence Disdale Design and Naval architect is Francis design. The yacht is owned by Roman Abramovich, and is 163.5 m (536 ft) long.  See the pictures
HEREDecember 18, 2010  just posted some pictures that we took from the helicopter when Dutch " ZEILMEISJE" Laura Dekker arrived from the Cabo Verde Islands in St.Maarten after her Trans Atlantic Crossing.
